Fresh Cherry Season!

Cherries – Fresh cherry season is here! Get them while they’re in season, because they are SO delicious.

Asparagus – Most of the domestic product is wrapping up, but Peru is really cranking up. Supplies are stronger and pricing is getting better.

Broccoli – Is still available locally, and saving everyone a lot of money over product that has to be delivered from across the country. We’ll stay local as long as we can.

Cabbage – Has started locally, so pricing is very good with almost no freight to get it to market. Quality is excellent and it doesn’t get any fresher than this.

Corn – Quality is still amazing on corn, and pricing is very steady. Feature it while it’s at such a great price.

Eggs – Egg prices went as low as they could a couple of weeks ago, but they’re settling in at a bit higher but still very favorable level.

Grapes – We’re still in the transition from winter season South American fruit to springtime harvests getting started in Mexico. Prices are way higher on drastically short
supplies, especially reds. We should see improvement in availability and pricing in a few weeks, but they’re going to be very expensive until then.

Lettuces – Are widely available with great quality. The transition to northern fields is over and it wasn’t as bad as feared. Pricing has leveled out for the time being.

Peaches – East coast peach season continues. Quality is really nice and continues to improve as we get further into the crop.

Potatoes – Idaho potatoes are starting to tighten up and prices are easing upwards. Shippers are anticipating running out of potatoes a little bit early this year, so we may
see a gap in July before the new harvest begins. Stay stocked up so you don’t run out at the end.

Squash and Zucchini – Is reaching heavy volumes locally and everyone seems to have squash at the same time. Pricing is very good on the high production.

Strawberries – Local strawberries are in peak production, and they have been beautiful! The cooler weather we’ve been having will hopefully stretch out the season a little longer than usual, as it’s usually summer heat that finishes it up.

Q: What vegetable is a little bit cool?
A: Rad-ish.
